Complete your task and get to a safe spot so the Imposters don't get you. I highly recommend going through the Training Videos below that teaches how to play.
Pro Tips:
- Set up the floor with items that match the color of the dots on the screen. In the gym, I use rubber dots or floor tape; but when I teach virtually, I have the kids grab an item of each color and set it on the floor.
- For younger students, begin with the Fitness versions. Once they're accustomed to the game, moving on to the Agility version is much easier.
- Select games based on the time of each round. There are games with rounds of 5, 10, or 20 seconds.
- Make the game harder as you go by changing the video speed using the gear icon.
- Up the memory challenge by going to the dot you think the Imposter is at (instead of avoiding it). With my remote learning kids, I had them grab their colored item and hold it up to the screen when the Imposter alert went off. I highly recommend this with grades 3+.
Kids are really good at detecting patterns... so I made more games, changing the order of the Imposters. This should keep them on their toes.
If your district uses a web filter, send this link to your admin to get white-listed. This link will never change. The password will from time to time.
Some users reported issues where their web filters were blocking Vimeo links. Rather than have the need to white list a ton of individual videos, this was the best solution. It also allows you the ability to just copy and paste a single link to share with your students. Bonus perk: kids get practice spelling some PE/Health related terms.
